*This will be a HYBRID Event with in-person attendance for Mujin’s in-person talk by Timothy Trahan in Levine 307 and Virtual attendance via Zoom for GRASP Members Only. Details will be sent via email…
Mujin started in 2011 in Tokyo, with founding members from USA, Japan, and China. Since our humble beginnings from a bike garage (40 sqm), we’ve grown to Tokyo’s largest robotics lab (14,000 sqm) through innovation and focus on quality. Mujin helped China’s e-commerce giant JD.com build the world’s first fully automated logistics warehouse in 2017, and now is partnered with firms like Uniqlo, Accenture, and others to automate logistics and manufacturing around the world. Mujin is still the first startup company to win the most prestigious robotics award given by the Japanese government. We’re an international and diverse team, with roboticists coming from leading universities such as MIT, CMU, Stanford, Berkeley, Tokyo University, Peking University, ENS, and others.
With over 600 deployments across the globe, Mujin recently expanded in the Atlanta area to focus on the North American market.
This presentation will tell the Mujin story including our technology, and the realities of working in robotics. If you’d like to know more about one of the most exciting global robotics firms, or just understand more about industrial automation as an industry, please come by and share your questions.
