Abstract: A
Cognitive Embedded Model for Mobile Robots, and the experimental
results embedding this cognitive model in humanoids mobile robots are
presented in this talk. This cognitive model is a computational
implementation for the Generic Cognitive Model for Autonomous Agents.
First this cognitive agent was implemented in a distributed multi-robot
control system for the
RoboCup
Soccer simulation league. This implementation incorporates some
important features from the cognitive model. The experiments with the
simulated multi-robot system have shown it is a well-suited cognition
model for providing robots with high-level complexity task execution.
Because of that, we have chosen to embed the cognitive agent system
into humanoids robots, allowing them to have the fully decision-autonomy
for high-level task execution. Additionally, the features of the
presented cognitive agent are completely coherent with
the so-called desirable features of the Generic Cognitive Model
hypotheses. A locomotion task in dynamic environment with predictable
and unpredictable obstacles have been used for these experiments.
