Ethan’s research interests include enabling robots to perform dexterous, physics-based manipulation by adapting to their environment at test time. In 2023, he completed his PhD in the Personal Robotics Lab at the University of Washington, advised by Siddhartha Srinivasa. His dissertation involved developing online learning algorithms for tractably adaptable food manipulation with the primary application of robot-assisted feeding for those with mobility impairments.
